Shipdate Docs

Everything you need to set up and get the most out of Shipdate.

Getting Started

Install Shipdate

Install Shipdate from the Shopify App Store. Once installed, you'll be redirected to the Shipdate dashboard inside your Shopify admin. No additional configuration is required to get started.

Connecting your store

Shipdate connects automatically to your Shopify store upon installation. All your orders are immediately accessible. There's no API setup or manual connection needed.

Verify your sender email

Go to Settings → Domain Verification and enter your store's email address. This address will appear as the sender for all app-related notifications. You'll receive a verification link from Postmark — click it to confirm the address. Once verified, your email status will show as "Email Verified" and notifications will begin sending from that address.

Sending Notifications

Select an estimated shipping date

Navigate to the Shipdate dashboard in your Shopify admin. Select one or more orders using the checkboxes, then choose an estimated shipping date from the calendar picker. Click "Send notification" to immediately email your selected customers.

Notifying multiple orders at once

Use the bulk-select checkbox at the top of the order list to select multiple orders simultaneously. All selected customers will receive the same estimated shipping date.

Resending a notification

To update a shipping date or resend, simply select the order again, pick the new date, and send. The customer will receive a fresh email with updated information.

Email Template

Customizing your email template

Go to Settings → Email Template in the Shipdate dashboard. Write your template using standard HTML for full control over layout, fonts, colors, and branding.

Available template variables

Use these variables in your HTML template: {{customer_name}} — Customer's full name {{order_number}} — Shopify order number {{estimated_ship_date}} — The date you selected {{custom_message}} — Your optional custom message

Adding a custom message per order

When sending a notification, you can optionally add a custom message specific to that order. Place the {{custom_message}} variable in your template where you'd like it to appear.

Plans & Billing

Upgrading or downgrading your plan

Change your plan at any time from Settings → Billing. Changes take effect immediately and are prorated through Shopify's billing system.

Order count and plan limits

Your plan's order limit refers to notifications sent per calendar month. If you exceed your limit, you'll be prompted to upgrade. Unused notifications don't roll over.
